Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Greaves translation could read: “Seek first the kingdom, and everything else will fall into place.”

Look past statistics, budgets, programs and look at more important matters - matters of the Father’s heart.

  • Are we seeking His face? His love?
  • Are we worshiping Him? Are we telling others about His love?
  • Are we living according to His Word?
  • Are we being conformed to His likeness?
  • Are His values our values?
  • Are we living with character? Integrity?
  • Are we living with passion?
  • Are we being transformed?
  • Are we seeking His Kingdom?  His righteousness?

This mindset is countercultural - especially when churches follow the marketing strategies of the world and put an emphasis on making a financial profit.  The church is not a corporate enterprise or a capitalistic endeavor - it’s the Bride of Jesus Christ that operates (many times) in contradiction to worldly wisdom.   (The way up is down. The last shall be first. To find your life, you must lost it…)

“Seek first the kingdom, and everything else will fall into place.”

Last year (2021) at this meeting, we sadly reported that we had ZERO professions of faith.  I am very happy to report that thus far in 2022, we have had EIGHT professions of faith this far (more are on the way too)!  YAY God!

  • Our podcast has grown another 40,000 subscribers!
  • Prayer time is filled with praying for the lost and for personal renewal and revival - for kingdom advancement.
  • Many people are stating that are wanting more of Jesus…and God is revealing Himself.
  • Visitors (and repeat visitors) are noticing that something is different here.
  • God is moving.

“Seek first the kingdom, and everything else will fall into place.”

The church is all about Him - His glory. His love. His values, His passions. His commands. His people.

BUT we live in an instant society - when we want something, we want it immediately. We want the benefits and the outcome without the work and the process - but there are no shortcuts to godliness, health, growth.  In the church business, you can’t have anything of real value unless you seek Him and then we get it all.

Frankly, I would have it no other way. Our faith becomes deeper and stronger…. real and authentic, alive and dynamic.  Shortcuts, worldly wisdom leads to a faith that falters and fades - a fake facade.

And that serves no purpose for people that are looking for something genuine and life transforming - neighbors, friends, family, I know I want it.  I hope you want it.

I don’t want another Bible study...I want to hear the Father’s heart.

I don’t want a formal function with pomp and circumstance...I want to worship the One who loves me.

I don’t want a dead religion...I want a relationship with my living Savior.

It’s all about the Father and His Kingdom.  Anything else is an utter failure.

We are in a unique time in history - I actually believe that we have front row seats for the return of Jesus.  There are some wild things going on that could have prophetic implications.  With everything going on in the world, it’s hard not to be discouraged, anxious, fearful or hopeless.  So you know what we do?

“Seek first the kingdom, and everything else will fall into place.”

There are  ALOT of people that don’t know Jesus.  I just saw a stat that the State of Florida has 20 million people, but only 2 million know Jesus.  That means that there’s 18 million people within our state that are LOST without a Savior!    Lots of people need hope, need love, need peace.  We’ve got the goods that people are looking for.

I know it can be pretty overwhelming, but I love what Jesus said in Matthew 16:18-19 (MSG) Jesus said, “I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven."

I love that. It’s HIS Church.  It’s HIS Kingdom. It’s HIS people. The pressure is off us to make things happen.

This is not a picture of the church in retreat, with the faithful few holding out to the end.  Rather, it is a picture of the church of God advancing with nothing being able to stop it! We need to go forth as the Church of Jesus Christ, with our heads held up high, knowing that we are God's chosen people. He is the King, and we are the King's Children.  We go forth not by might nor by power, but by God’s Spirit alone.  In Christ, we are more than conquerors!  So you know what we do? We relax, enjoy His presence and

Seek first the kingdom, and everything else will fall into place.”

I’m excited about this next year - God has been moving. Let’s keep seeking the Kingdom together…and everything will continue to fall into place.
